Research On Emergency Management In Higher Vocational Colleges

In the rapid development of society, colleges and universities have to grow with changes in the internal and external environment. In the campus, the occurrence of unexpected events is not accidental. Furthermore, it occurs frequently. Therefore, its influence seems serious, affecting teaching order, student management and study life, and teachers’teaching, in a bad way. The damage could spread to overall image and reputation which is carefully maintained. Therefore, in the construction of a harmonious society, the education sector and the whole society should pay attention to the stability and development of colleges and universities, and to improve the prevention and response measures. Further research on the cause of the occurrence of the emergency and the construction of the early warning system, from the perspective of theory and reality, are of great value.This paper consists of four parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly introducing the research background, significance, and domestic and foreign research status of emergency in higher vocational colleges. The second part is the theoretical overview of emergency management in higher vocational colleges, mainly introducing the connotation of emergency management. And also described the main types and characteristics of emergency in higher vocational colleges. The third part is the analysis of the current situation of emergency management in Higher Vocational Colleges taking Guangdong Institute of Science and Technology as an example, focusing on three aspects. One is the effectiveness of emergency management, the other is the main problems in the emergency management of Higher Vocational colleges, the last one analyzes the main causes of the problems. The fourth part is the corresponding countermeasures against the existing problems.This study aims to further discuss the emergency management system of higher vocational colleges and put forward coping strategies. It points out that in the emergency management of colleges and universities the linkage effects should be awared, the legal system of the government established and perfected, school management system innovated, students’ comprehensive quality promoted. All social forces need to be combined to achieve the construction of a harmonious campus, so as to maintain the stability of higher vocational colleges.
