The new curriculum reform has been carrying out in China for more than a decade, started late, high schoolsof Guangxi as the last batch ofthe new curriculum reform,because there are a large number of pilot schools have carried out the newcurriculum reform, we can learn from their experiences to carry out the new curriculum reform with its own characteristics. Hezhou area as a relatively backward area in Guangxi, because the hardware facilities can’t keep up,many advanced new curriculum reform initiatives can’t be implemented.Mathematics is a difficult subject to master for high school students,and how to improve students’learning efficiency in the new curriculum reform,making them fall in love with mathematics,this is the problem that educators need to study for a long time, and changing the roles of the teachers has become the key to solve this problem. This paper expounds the necessity to improve the high school mathematics teaching must first convert the role of mathematics teachers from six parts.This paper first reviewed the related research on teacher’s role, combing the development of foreign teachers’ role, location and classification problems, also the role of domestic mathematics teachers’ role in the traditional and the new curriculum were reviewed. Secondly, the traditional teacher’s role in the drawbacks of teaching and the students’ influence on the abuse of the analysis, and based on this proposed into seven kinds of the new high school mathematics teachers roles:creative teachers, guidance teachers, AC type teachers, teachers’ research, activities in the process of designers,users of information technology and curriculum developers. According to the questionnaire survey and experimental research, and draw on the conclusions of this study:(1) To improve the students’ interest in learning mathematics is the premise of ensuring the smooth implementation of high school teachers; (2) The basic materials used in the rational use of the preparation of school-based teaching materials, sostudents can be better to understand the materials, deepening the understanding of the points of knowledge; (3) Pay attention to the process of knowledge formation in the teaching, students can deepen the understanding and the use of knowledge, increasing the communication between teachers and students, so as to improve the students’learning efficiency; (4) Teachers change their students from receptive learning to active learning, which can increase students’ confidence of learning, not too much rely on teachers; (5) teachers’ rational using of multi-media teaching software, which can play the imagination of students and cultivate students’ innovative spirit.Comprehensive study shows that:the conversion of high school mathematics teachers’ role can improve the classroom teaching effect, and the conversion of high school mathematics teachers’ role can improve students’ math achievement.
