Talents are important resources for social development,college graduates are an important component of human resource in the crowd.With higher theory level and comprehensive quality,college graduates are powerful driving force for socio-economic development.Since 1999,because our colleges and univesities expand the enrollment,the number of college graduates has been increasing rapidly and the increasing pressure on the employment of college graduates has brought the employment of college graduates into a prominent social problem. In order to ease the pressure on the employment of college graduates, government from national level down to provicial and municipal level have fomulated plenty of university graduates employment policies to promote employment of college graduates according to the social development at different stages.State and local government employment policies to some extent effectively ease the employment pressure of college graduates or some outstanding contradictions, but the implementation of the national and local governments’ promotion policies on the employment of university graduates did not achieve expected results.Guangzhou,as a National Center City, its economic development and transformation and upgrading needs numorous talents, while how to play the role of Guangzhou government departments and promote the employment of university graduates to solve the problem of the employment of college graduates in Guangzhou and meet the needs of economic development is worthy of our in-depth study of the problem. Therefore, systematical research on the employment promotion policy of university graduates in Guangzhou has not only a positive effect on the allocation of human resources in Guangzhou, but also contributes to the economic development and social harmony and stability of Guangzhou as well as college graduates’ personal employment and growth.From the perspective of government intervention theory, using literature research,comparative analysis,questionaires,interviews and other research methods,this paper systematically analyzes the main contents of graduate employment promotion policy of Guangzhou University and analyzes the problems and causes of graduate employment promotion policy in Guangzhou University.Drawning on the experience of other cities at home and abroad,this thesis put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to further improve the employment promotion policies of university graduates in Guangzhou from aspects of demand promotion,supply promotion,matching promotion and employment service systems and etc.
