With the development of Chinese economy, higher vocational education shows a vigorous vitality, especially it develops rapidly and trained a large number of practical talents in the government’s strong support recent years. As a product of the development of market economy,the importance of marketing profession in higher vocational education is self-evident. Training high-quality marketing professionals is not only the inevitable requirement of the development of higher vocational education, but also a strong guarantee for the continuing development of social economy. However, marketing is major in higher vocational colleges development, which is not perfect now, especially the development of practice teaching is relatively backward,resulting in marketing professional students practical ability is poor, and professional theoretical level is not high, the employment situation is not optimistic.Based on this, the author takes the marketing professional in several vocational colleges of Jilin for the study, uses questionnaire survey students’ views, including the willingness to learn,teachers’ practice ability, curriculum content, and business practice teaching arrangements. At the same time, investigate the development of the practice teaching of marketing major in higher vocational colleges by literature method and interview method. Thus, we found that the current existing problems, such as the obsolete idea, unclear positioning, practice teaching team is not perfect, weak practical ability, practice teaching curriculum unreasonable, inflexible, practice content too old, teaching achievements not salient, and so on. This paper analyzes the causes of the problem from the concept, funding, teacher participation and assessment methods, etc. And then puts forward strategy to improve the present situation of marketing practice teaching,including training objectives, students, teachers, curriculum consciousness, mechanism system school-enterprise cooperation etc..
