With the rapid development of tourism,our society needs a large quantity of high quality,skilled tourism talents.it is the practical course arrangement of tourism major in higher vocational education that critically affect the cultivation of tourism high quality skilled talents.paying attention to the current situation of practice course arrangement of tourism major in higher vocational education,analyzing current situation and problems,proposing feasible measures play an important role in improving the scientific and rational practice course arrangement of tourism major and the quality of talents cultivation.Author has not found so much research about practice curriculum of higher vocational education through collecting and sorting the documents,but mostly focus on science and engineering,agriculture and medical science education.the research of practice course of higher vocational tourism major are scarce,although our society pays more attention to the research of practice tourism major recently,previous researches are mainly about construction of practice curriculum evaluation,practice curriculum innovation,practice curriculum system building etc,the research of practice course arrangement are quite few.however,it remains a lot of issues within current practice curriculum arrangement in our national higher vocational colleges,it adversely affect the achievement of talents cultivation purpose and the improvement of students practice ability,enhance,we should do further research to the practice curriculum arrangement in higher vocational colleges,it has much important realistic significance to ameliorate the practice curriculum of higher vocational education and increase students practice ability in higher vocational colleges.This article mainly take the methods of documentation analysis and investigation research,which is based on the Susan J.J.Schwab practical curriculum theory and Dewey's Pragmatic Education Theory,using questionnaire to survey the practice curriculum arrangement of tourism major students,visiting the tourism practice teachers and tourism company instructors,analyzing the curreant situation and problems within the practical curriculum arrangement of tourism major in higher vocational colleges,meanwhile,taking the difference research methods to the practice curriculum arrangement of tourism major to manage to discuss the reasons behind the difference.At last,basing on the investigation of current situation and documentation of analysis,drawing on the successful experience of abroad tourism education of practice curriculum arrangement,and making suggestions to the higher vocational tourism major curriculum arrangement.The outcomes of research are as follows:for cultivation purpose,which exists insufficient understanding.For practice course structure,the total curriculum are more than practice section,which is irrational,the selective course of practice just occupies small proportion for the content of practice curriculum,it is unreasonable and lack of character of colleges and local features.For the ways of realization of practice of curriculum,it has deficiency in practice material,enterprise and business part-time teachers,the method of teaching is single,the construction of practice base outside colleges are insufficient etc.at the same time,author has analyzed difference of the types of colleges to the curriculum arrangement of vocational tourism majors,found that it existed remarkable differences in cultivation purpose,practice curriculum structure and content in four types of practice arrangement of higher vocational tourism major.At last,according to the issues,the authors makes proposals which are as follows:clear and definite cultivation purpose,adjust the practice curriculum structure and arrange practice courses rationally,modify the content of practical courses,build "duple teacher quality" force,enhance the construction of training base inside and outside school,consummate the evaluation system of practice curriculum.
