In today’s Internet age, the age of big data, the information is updating faster and faster, students want to adapt to the development of the times, it is necessary to have rapid access information, screening information and identify the authenticity of information capacities. Cultivating students’ ability of information to identify not only is the focus of the present teaching reform,but also the ability of the new curriculum reform advocates today one of the goals.This paper is according to the characteristics of biology, in-depth understanding of information literacy and discrimination capability of information correlation theory based, firstly,by using the method of investigation and research, for some junior high school biology educators and students’ ability to identify information present situation investigation, the analysis of students’ learning situation and the problems existing in the teachers’ teaching situation at present. Secondly, according to the theory of psychology and pedagogy, and puts forward ways and methods of training the students ability to identify information, namely the use of material column data, method for teaching information identification, the second class accumulated knowledge to identify information, using the practice of extra-curricular activities to develop the STS education. Finally, To(Cheng gong campus) the affiliated middle school of Yunnan University, 2 classes of the same grade participated in this teaching experiment, focusing on Application of information identification methods and strategies in biology class; attempt to design evaluate students’ ability to identify information table and the empirical study on the evaluation, the conclusion: the development of ability to identify information and discriminant correlation, discriminant consistency, timeliness of discrimination and applicability of discriminant mutual influence and restrict each other, the student training of information identification literacy to change for the better, the empirical studies on the evaluation of the result is effective and feasible.
