| Improve IT literacy in minority areas is an important part of primary education information work. There are many studies about IT literacy,including IT literacy standards establishing, influencing factors ect.Most of these studies focused on teachers in primary and secondary schools or students of college, while less researches involving minority students literacy minima.In this study, under the multicultural education theory, focusing the ITL of Minority Students, analyze the influence of the cultural background of Minority Students and IT literacy training from schools then survey the ITL of teachers and the IT in classroom,discussion on ITL of Minority Students and IT Literacy Education Situation.In this paper, the main research methods are literature analysis and field work. Investigation of 11 national schools in Guizhou Province and Guangxi Guilin Liuzhou Nanning areas, has recovered parts of 1300 student questionnaire, teacher questionnaire 270 copies. Meanwhile,setting up the study with participant observation and in-depth visit from three perspectives of administrators, teachers and students to complete the questionnaires. The main research questions include:(1) the attitudes and awareness of information technology in ethnic minority students;(2) general characteristics of minority students IT literacy;(3) differences between grades, different genders and ethnic backgrounds of students(4) description of the Minority middle and primary schools IT literacy cultivation ways in which to sort out school’s role in ITL training;(5)clarify the factors influencing the ITL of Minority Students and IT Literacy Training.The study found: Firstly, the minority students have diffirence with Han Chinese in Primary and Secondary in information technology awareness and attitudes. Secondly, minority students have the lower level of awareness of information technology while comparing with Han students, because of lack of IT Courses rate in ethnic schools, teachers in the classroom less efficient use of information technology. Thirdly, the ratio of minority students which have smart phones in nearly three years continues to increasing. While many students reliancing on mobile phones, the management and guidance of the school fail to effectively guiding students to using IT in right way.Some students tend to mobile gaming addiction. Overall, despite Ethnic Areas "hardware" universal faster, but as the main way to IT literacy training courses in information technology ethnic areas did not receive due attention, the lack of full-time teachers, the ITL of subject teachers is not high,and the last one is the most important factor that influence ITL of students.Based Multicultural Education, This study was proposed to enhance IT literacy of minority students in primary and secondary schools with three approaches: Firstly, complete minority schools’ IT environment, focused on "hardware, software and underlyware ", strengthen principals COI. Secondly, connect new communication media, preservation of ethnic culture and formal edacation. Minority students are encouraged to apply information technology to protecting their culture, and community-based cultural and "Digital Campus" link, enhance collaboration of families, communities and schools. Thirdly, integrate information technology into bilingual teaching. Free minority students in the application of information technology from language barriers, bilingual education improve students’ language skills and ability to understand his culture. |
