Effect Of Resource Dependence On The Healthy Development Of Social Work Institutions

Resource dependence is any social organizations must face the problem, because of limited channel resource agencies available, many social work institutions cre ated serious "junk food"- the single access to resources. I see in reality resource dependency for a lot of impact on social work institutions, because capital is dependent on one of the most serious is that institutions and difficult to maintain their own professionalism and independence. But what exactly on the organization’s resources to rely on the professional independence there is what relation? Agency whether and how to deal with the relationship? To explore this question, for the healthy development and even C hina the healthy development of the social work has important practical significance.Based on resource dependence theory, this study adopts comparative analysis method, with two social work agencies in gansu province as a case, analyzes the background and the nature of the two different social work organization, channels and ways in access to resources, organization of resource dependence and characteristics, and the similarities and differences of the interaction between institutions and resources. To conclude that both run by the local officer to help type of social work institutions or from the grass-roots public organizational transformation to the social work organization, also depend on social work services to maintain the normal operation of organization. In China, social work and social work institutions are in the early stage of development, widespread the excessive dependence on external resources; Social work agencies to external resources especially to rely heavily on project funding with the professional and independent institutions has a great influence effect, this influence specific displays in: first, social work agencies in survival, will take the initiative to reduce some service requirements; Second, in the process of interaction with the government or the foundation, social work agencies are mostly in a passive position. Again, in the process of the specific service, the management(mainly refers to the government and the foundation for social work organization intervention is often happened; F inally, social work agencies compete with each other, the result in social work institutions always stand in "selected" awkward situation.This study further discusses the professionalism and independence of social work institutions for institutional significance of healthy development, put forward about how to deal with resource dependency and professional independence relationship advice, think: cooperation is the best choice between social work institutions, on the basis of coopera tion to explore paid services, thus increasing their "blood" function. In addition, the social work institutions must have the consciousness of "crisis", deal with the role of institutions; This proposal, of course, it remains to be further study and validation.
