Phosphate rock resources is an important strategic resource in China, but it facesthe severe reality. Rational evaluation for the efficiency level of open-pit phosphatemine can improve its industrial benefit, which can not only serve for mine enterprise butalso have important directive significance to the development and utilization ofphosphate resources in China.The content of this paper is belong to the projects of “Theoretical and experimentalstudy on different mining methods and processes of gently inclined phosphate orebodywith thin-medium thickness” and “Research and demonstration of high efficient greendevelopment and comprehensive utilization technology of phosphate mine with lowgrade and difficult to handle”, which are belong to the national science and technologypillar program during the12th five-year plan period of China. Based on analysis ofproduction process and various relationships, this paper has established a set ofpervasive indicator system for efficiency evaluation of open-pit phosphate mine byusing the thought of Analysis Hierarchy Process. The three already applied methods:fuzzy cognitive maps, grey clustering, analytic hierarchy process are comparedrespectively. Based on the case of Jinning mine of Yunnan phosphate chemical groupco.,Ltd, a comprehensive evaluation of efficiency is obtained with the established modelof AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The main work and conclusions are asfollows:(1) An original assessment indicator system that is available to all existingopen-pit phosphate mine efficiency evaluation has been established on the basis ofanalysis of production process and various relationship, considering all aspects ofmining, mineral processing, equipment, human, environment, resource utilization, landreclamation and economic status.(2) The method of AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is applied tocomprehensive assessment of open-pit phosphate mine efficiency for the first time.Detailed approaches and processions are systematically discussed and designed byproviding detailed description for steps of using the method of analytic hierarchyprocess to confirm indicator weight and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to make acomprehensive evaluation.(3) The research of Jinning mine of Yunnan phosphate chemical group co.,Ltd was conducted and the actual production data was collected.23qualitative indicatorsand16quantitative indicators are filtered to establish the indicator system. Professioninformation is collected to confirm the criterion standards of qualitative indicators andquantitative indicators respectively. The method of AHP-fuzzy comprehensiveevaluation is applied to the comprehensive assessment of “Jinning phosphate mineefficiency”. The results show that the efficiency level of Jinning mine is “good”.(4) The deficiency in the management of Jinning phosphate mine is pointed outbased on the assessment results. Suggestions are provided for improvementcorrespondingly.In all, by the method of AHP-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, qualitative analysisand quantitative calculation are reconciled. The result is clear. The method is systematicand possesses excellent advantages for practical application.
