In the case of energy consumption, environmental deterioration, the developmentof low-carbon economy become the new model of economic development of countriesin the world, the unanimous endorsement of the world take the appropriate policyinitiatives to develop low-carbon economy and scholars have also commenced on thedevelopment the theory of low-carbon economy. Therefore, in this context, to explorethe empirical study of the progress of science and technology for the development oflow-carbon economy, in order to enrich the development of low-carbon economictheory, and at the same time able to make useful suggestions on the development ofChina’s low-carbon economy.This paper studies include the following four aspects:Firstly,Analysis thepresent situation of China’s low-carbon economy,From multiple dimensions of time,industry, regional to analyze the situation of China’s low-carbon economydevelopment, then come to our country the development of low carbon economypresent situation. Furthermore, we in-depth analysis of China’s low carbon economicdevelopment problems. Then, the scientific and technological progress on themechanism of low-carbon economic impact analysis. Analyzed the existing literature,scientific and technological progress affect the mechanism of the development oflow-carbon economy analysis to sort out the path of scientific and technologicalprogress of the low-carbon economy and lay the foundation for furtherresearch.Thirdly, empirical analysis of the impact of scientific and technologicalprogress of the low-carbon economy. Based on the data available, representativeness,and the principles of the evaluation of scientific and technological progress and thelow-carbon economy through comprehensive means of logical analysis, documentaryresearch, and expert advice law building, due to scientific and technological progressand the development of low-carbon economy indicators are unobservable indicators,using structural equation model of quantitative analysis of the impact of the progressof science and technology for the development of low-carbon economy, and finally,structural equation modeling analysis results.Finally, according to the results ofempirical analysis, combined with China’s actual situation, put forward thedevelopment of China’s low-carbon economy guidance and suggestions.The main innovation of this paper is to in-depth analysis of the energy-saving technology, clean energy technologies, energy efficiency technologies and abatementtechnologies impact on the mechanism of low-carbon economy, and to break throughthe limitations of traditional qualitative analysis, quantitative study of scientific andtechnological progress to a low-carbon economy.
