Study On The Mechanism Of Technological Progress And Economics-Social Development Of Counties In China

It is well known that science and technology is the primary productive force. Modern science and technology is playing an increasingly significant role in promoting the economic development and the social reformation. The county economy of China has been an important component of economic-social development, and directly related to the speed and quality of national development. To realize the comprehensive and coordinated development of county’s science and technology and economic society is very important in strategy and reality. In this thesis, the relationship and the mechanism between technological progress and economic-social development is systematically analyzed based on the data in the project of "Estimation from 2003 to 2012 on the Science-technology of Counties in China".First of all, the meaning of the technological progress, the economic-social development and the economic in the counties are expounded, by which the situation of technological progress and economic-social development in the counties from 2003 to 2012 is investigated, Secondly, on the basis of the fundamental frame for analysis and the corresponding contents, we investigate how to choose the analytical methods. As a result, the model is further constructed, and the observed variables in the analysis model are selected. Then, by making use of the valid data of 2035 counties on the scientific and technological progress, as well as the economic and social development, which is collected from the "Estimate on the Science-technology Progress of City, County and District in China" in 2012, in accordance with the level of economic development of the counties, and the level of socio-economic development of the counties, various types of counties are classified, structural equation models are then established to analyze the interaction between the different paths connecting the counties’ scientific and technological progress, as well as the economic and social development. Finally, policies and suggestions about the scientific and technological progress promoting socio-economic development of the counties are given.
