China's dual economic structure has produced a special group of migrant workers,along with China's new road to industrialization continue to advance,more and more rural labor transfer to urban.In contrast,the cultural quality of migrant workers is low,and they lack professional knowledge and technology,coupled with other factors,migrant workers face various difficulties in the process of urban employment,at the same time also exposed a variety of problems,the overall stability of employment is relatively poor.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the current employment stability of migrant workers in China and the influence factors.Over time,migrant workers groups appeared intergenerational differences.Many domestic scholars also study the problem of migrant workers' employment from the perspective of intergenerational differences.However,most scholars focus on the employment of the older generation of migrant workers and the comparison of new and old migrant workers,the research on the employment of the new generation of migrant workers is relatively small,especially the research on the stability of employment.For the new generation of migrant workers employment stability,need more in-depth study.Because of different levels of economic development in different regions,the characteristics of migrant workers in the process of employment are differences.Chongqing is a representative city of the western region,to research the factors that affect the employment stability of the new generation of migrant workers in Chongqing,and to discuss the relationship between the employment stability and their wage income,it can be used for reference in the economically backward western regions.This paper is based on questionnaires and interviews to investigate.Firstly,use the total number of jobs and the average duration of each job to measure the stability of employment.The results show that the new generation of migrant workers average change work 2.70 times in the past three years,the average duration of each work in the last three years is 0.87 years.In the process of employment,the overall employment stability is relative poor,employment stability needs to be further improved.Then,establish the Logistic model to analyze the factors that influence the stability of the employment of the new generation of migrant workers.The results show that the gender,the average monthly wage income,working hours,work environment satisfaction,training and labor contract these six factors have significant influence on the stability of employment,the other eight factors were not through the significant.Finally,this paper analyzes the influence of stable employment on the income of the new generation of migrant workers through the ordinal multivariate Logistic regression model.The results show that the stability of employment is uncertain to low wage income level,has a positive impact on the high income level,and is helpful to improve the wage income in the overall trend.Therefore,it is of practical significance to improve the current employment stability of the new generation of migrant workers in Chongqing.In the end,according to the demonstration results,the paper puts forward some countermeasures to promote the employment stability from the government,enterprise and individual level.The government level,further improve regional settled conditions,distinguish the abolition of agricultural accounts and non-agricultural registered permanent residence.Further standardize labor contracts,to ensure their legitimate rights and interests fundamentally;establish normal wage increase mechanism,curb the phenomenon of wage arrears;strengthen support for small and medium enterprises to create more jobs.The enterprise level,to standardize the working hours,according to the personal situation of workers,develop a reasonable time;at the time to determine the level of wages,according to the relevant national laws and regulations as the basis,to ensure that the enterprise salary level to reflect the new generation of migrant workers labor value.The individual level,recognize the current employment situation and their own characteristics,establish a correct concept of employment;actively use of various opportunities to participate in skills training to improve their own level,get higher pay through improved professional skills.
