With the rapid development of science and technology, Computer industry upgrading ofproducts very quickly, in order to improve the competitiveness of enterprises and adapt to therapidly changing market and demand, the cycle of product development put forward higherrequirements, in the hard drive industry, there is a large investment, large variation, and manyuncertain factors. Project management as an effective management mode intovariousindustries and enterprises, enhance the enterprise the production management efficiency. Theproject schedule control is an important part of project management.The article taking the SAE head development program progress control as research topic,using critical chain method, WBS, and PERT earned value analysis method.First introduces the basic theory of project management, analyzes the common problemsof SAE new product development project schedule management in, Create the WBS, andapply project schedule management theory and methods to project management, formulateHGA development project schedule, using methods of project schedule management and toolfor the project schedule network diagram, Gantt chart, optimization of the allocation ofresources. In the process of achieving the project objectives, by using the WBS method toform unit of work in each relatively independent and easy to control and accounting, throughsorting and combine unit of work time on the project time estimation, develop preliminaryproject schedule, combined with the actual resource of SAE company, using the key chain andGantt chart method optimization in order to form the final HGA development project schedule.Use earned value examination and analysis of the actual progress of the project are effectivemethod, analysis and control of the schedule deviation, formation of scientific management tothe project schedule.This article summarizes the experience of SAE company’s new product development inthe progress management, the measures and suggestions to improve the short comings of theschedule management is proposed. The progress control study can provide useful referencefor similar project schedule management of SAE.
