Subsidy for purchasing agricultural machinery is an important part of the party’s agriculture policy for promoting the development of agricultural mechanization and solving the issue of Agriculture, Rural & Farmers. It’s a strategic initiative taken for building a socialist harmonious society, reflecting the state to support and accelerate agriculture policy-oriented development process of mechanization. Yuhang is in the north of Hangzhou, the implementation of the subsidy for purchasing agricultural machinery is essential to achieve agricultural mechanization and agricultural modernization, ensuring food production, at the same time, increasing farmers’ income. The implementation of subsidy for purchasing agricultural machinery have a broad and far-reaching impact for agriculture & rural economic of Yuhang District. By analyzing policy features and policy’s effect for Yuhang, producing recommendations to improve policies, locating the direction of Yuhang agricultural development, and having great significance for sustained and stable development of Yuhang’s agricultural machinery.This paper uses the methods of literature analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis, comparative method, the main contents are as follows:1. Introduce the background of subsidy for purchasing agricultural machinery, take Yuhang’s implementation of the policy as research object, use qualitative and quantitative analysis for the related data and policy’s content from the beginning year of 2004 until 2014, summarizing the feature implementation and result of the subsidy for purchasing agricultural machinery, analyze problems and propose countermeasures and suggestions such as optimize the subsidy quotas to encourage and support the development of high quality and efficient products, rationally determine the scope and appropriately increase standard of subsidy.2. Analyse the characteristics of agricultural development in United States, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, and their measures taken by developing agricultural mechanization, summarize and learn from their experiences in agricultural development, we put forward suggestions such as the agricultural development need to comply with status of agricultural production, make a plan for the development of agricultural production, to promote Yuhang’s machinery development further faster and stablely.
