As a big appliance-consuming country,China has entered a peak period of home appliances scraping. Appliance replacement leads to the development of reverse logistics of waste household appliances(WHA).Borrowing from the abroad implementation idea of production responsibility extension our country has developed relevant policies and regulations to guide the appliance manufacturers forcing to participate in the reverse logistics, however these policies did not get effectively implemented, and a large number of manufacturers implement reverse logistics without proper planning. This results in a large number of discarded appliances flowing into the non-formal sector and the dismantling of the market. It leads to waste of resources and environmental pollution. Before launching reverse logistics business manufacturers need to select the appropriate mode of reverse logistics and then build on a reasonable reverse logistics network on the selected basis. In this regard, from the manufacturer’s standpoint this paper conducts the research on WHA reverse logistics mode and practical significance to constructing network with the goal of maximizing the benefits to manufacturers.This paper defines the definition of WHA reverse logistics and analyzes the characteristics and operation process of WHA reverse logistics at first.According to different subject of WHA recycling and disposal, WHA reverse logistics mode is divided into self-supporting mode, joint mode and outsourcing mode, qualitatively analyzes advantages and disadvantages of these three modes,compares their difference on influencing factors and analyzes their network structural characteristics based on the structure type classification of WHA reverse logistics network.Secondly,this paper proposes the revenue maximization model of WHA reverse logistics under different modes, uses Stackelberg game theory to obtain the optimal solution for each model, analyzes the influence of value cases of two parameters——efficiency of recycling investment and disposal efforts coefficient,on manufacturer’s maximum benefit,which thereby affects the mode selection result,and all are verified by an example.Thirdly, focusing on self-supporting mode, studies WHA reverse logistics network building,clear elements of the network and the network structure type, designes a five layers,multi-category,forward/reverse and closed loop network topology,then builds a mixed integer programming model with the objective of maximizing the benefits to make reasonable site selection and flow distribution among these sites.Finally,this paper puts forward the solving idea of this network building model,design GA steps to solve site selection and flow distribution at the same time,applys Python2.7.3to simulate calculations by an numerical example and sensitivity analysis of algorithm parameters,and verifies its validity and rationality.verifies the validity and rationality of the model and algorithm.
