The Impact Of China’s Industrial Structure Adjustment On Labor Supply And Demand

Since China’s reform and opening up, the economic develops rapidly. Especially the government established the socialist market economic system in the early90’s.The adjustment of industrial structure in China has become the dominant force of economic growth. The "Twelfth Five Plan" will continue to adjust the structure of industry as one of the main goals for economic development.The optimization and upgrading of industrial structure will become one of the core content of economic development. China’s labor market is undergoing structural changes. The demand for labor of industrials and regions has a great change. The problem of "The growing shortage of migrant workers" has been spread from the eastern developed area to the west. At the same time, with the rising price of labor cost, the graduates are facing a problem which is the average wage of initial employment declines. China’s labor market structural contradictions these trends become a "shortage" of the current economic situation and the coexistence of "excess".This paper mainly studies the influence of industrial structure adjustment on the labor supply and demand, the following are the conclusions:Firstly, this paper analyzed the current situation of China’s industrial structure. From the three industries, the industrial structure is developed towards the direction of rationalization and conforms to the general rules of industrial structure evolution basically. But compared with developed countries, the industrial structure of our country still has an obvious gap. Secondly, the influence of the adjustment of industrial structure generated demand for labor. Thirdly, the influence of the adjustment of industrial structure is generated on labor supply.Fourthly, in the process of industrial structure adjustment, labor supply and demand imbalance of local labor market, so also appeared the phenomenon of structural shortage and surplus phenomenon and university graduates surplus and skilled personnel shortage of supply. Finally put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.
