Study On Entrepreneurial Elements Of“Science Business”and Its Financing Strategies

Science business is becoming the main entrepreneurial model of the emerging industries like biological industry, Nano industry and a new generation of information industry. This paper uses entrepreneurship of “science business” enterprises as research subjects, and uses enterprises’ life cycle as theoretical guidance to explore entrepreneurial elements and financing strategies of “science business” enterprises in each entrepreneurial stage and search for new ways for scientists to start their own businesses. This paper takes Beijing Nano Think printing technology co., LTD.( Later referred to as Nano Think) as an example, and does the following research work: First, literature analysis method is used to sort out and extract science business, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial phase, entrepreneurial elements and financing strategies, which laid a theoretical basis for full text writing; Secondly, the entrepreneurial process of Nano Think is investigated and analyzed in depth, the way that the founder and scientist Song Yanlin establishes such an emerging technology company is studied, and under the theoretical framework of enterprise growth stage, the method of case analysis is used to analyze the key elements needed in each development stage of Nano Think; Thirdly, entrepreneurial elements of science business are divided into three types: generating elements-development factor, basic elements-advanced elements, and individual elements-organizational elements, and the evolution model of entrepreneurial elements of science business is established; Fourthly, on the basis of the four stages that Nano Think experienced in the entrepreneurial process: scientific research stage, start-up phase, high-speed expansion stage and organization planning stage, dynamic analysis is done for start-up financing strategies. Finally, through the analysis of entrepreneurial elements and financing strategies of Nano Think, suggestion for entrepreneurship of science business enterprises and deficiency of this paper are put forward.This paper is dedicated to inspire more scholars to explore the development of science business enterprises, it is the key to the development of emerging industries such as biological industry and Nano industry that scientists step off "ivory tower" and set up expert-typed company, which can effectively solve the two problems, one is low association between scientific and technological achievements and industry, the other is separation between research and development and application, and play an important role in accelerating the development of science and the renewal of technology.
