The Optimization Of Production System Design For Dalian Yiwei Welding Workshop

In this paper, transforming the production system in Dalian Yiwei welding workshop will be discussed. The original production system uses single-piece production, which leads to state of instruction-free-low-efficiency. On the contrary, the transformed production system is based on Lean Production Theory, standards of workspace design, pipeline design, theoretical approaches of welding workshop production technology, and production model analysis. The outcome of such approaches is to establish a welding production line that replaces the original production mode with assembly lines to improve the production capacity, product support rate, and reduce the product defect rate. In addition, the transformed model achieves the single-piece flow production, in which enhances the accuracy of data collection for waste components of production.The main contents of this paper include:(1) Summary of Dalian Yiwei welding workshop production system including its production model, production technology, production system configuration, workshop layout, analysis of existing problems of production system.(2) Discussion of the assembly-line station design focusing on pipeline beats, methods of operation and allocating human resources.(3) Details in welding assembly line production system design, scheme of system implementation pipeline design; critiques of existing problems in welding workshop production model and production processes; significance of transforming traditional mode of single-piece-station line to cluster production.(4) Evaluate the effectiveness of transformed the production system with rationales and judgements.In conclusion, Dalian Yiwei’s new welding production model uses light manufacturing and labor-intensive enterprises to improve efficiency and production capacity. It certainly resets the standard for the industry in production efficiency, productivity and technology development.
