Project management has been widely used in the daily management of software project, and become a very effective way of management. As the application of the theory of project management, we can save human resources of the project, improve the quality of software system, promote the company’s competitiveness, increase the profit of software enterprises.This paper mainly discusses the project management theory application of gas balance and optimization software project in the petrochemical industry. Based on the actual situation of company A as an example. Firstly, introduced the relevant theoretical knowledge of project management, as well as the software project management characteristics. Secondly introduces the brief history of the development of A company and business scope, the project management application, the assessment results of the project. Thiedly, point out and analyse the PM problems of a company,from project management, cost management and quality management of three core elements, with the actual situation of gas project as an example, pointe out the existing problems, and analyzes the causes of problems. Then put forward rationalization proposals from the Angle of your company A existing problems, so as to improve project management level of the company.Finally,is the paper’s conclusions and recommendations, summarize problems of previous analysis,advance my opinion of PM in the software company,provide reference for the daily management of the sofeware company, to improve enterprise management level, increase software product competitiveness, and gain more market share.
