Study On The Effect Of Industrial Agglomeration On Environmental Pollution In Jiangxi

As a less developed province,Jiangxi's industrial economy is still undeveloped,so the erosion of ecological environment in Jiangxi province is relatively light.But if Jiangxi want to achieve economic take-off,industrialization is the inevitable choice.How to balance economic development and environmental protection,it will directly test the level of environmental protection awareness and environmental administrative levels of governments at all levels.Industrial agglomeration strategy is one of the important strategies of regional economic development in China,industrial agglomeration has brought about a series of serious environmental problems while promoting the rapid economic development of our country.So industrial agglomeration whether aggravate the environmental pollution or ease the problem of environmental pollution,different scholars have different views.In this paper,while we study the effect of industrial agglomeration on environmental pollution in Jiangxi Province,we introduce the variable technological progress.Firstly,this paper analyzes the relationship between industrial agglomeration,technological progress and environmental pollution from the theoretical aspects,and the influence of industrial agglomeration on environmental pollution is divided into scale effects,structural effects and technological effects.Then,the paper analyzes the influence of technological progress on environmental pollution,finally,the mechanism of industrial agglomeration and technological progress on environmental pollution is analyzed.The empirical part of this paper selects the data of 24 industrial sectors and some industrial parks in Jiangxi Province in 2005-2014,three models were established to investigate the linear relationship between industrial agglomeration,technological progress and environmental pollution,the relationship between square of industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution,and the correlation effect of industrial agglomeration and technological progress on environmental pollution.The empirical results show that there is an inverted U curve relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution in Jiangxi Province,which means industrial agglomeration will exacerbate environmental pollution to begin with,when the industrial concentration reaches a certain level,the technical effect of agglomeration is significant,at the same time,the rise of industrial agglomeration will improve the situation of environmental pollution,technological progress plays an important role in the improvement of environmental pollution.Most of the existing literatures focus on the relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution from the perspective of China as a whole,however,there are few literatures on the study of some underdeveloped areas,especially in Jiangxi.In this paper,the impact of industrial agglomeration on environmental pollution in Jiangxi province is introduced,and the technological progress is introduced to analyze the impact of environmental pollution,in such a big environment that the country advocates technological innovation,for other regions in the central region to achieve the rise of the national strategy while protecting the ecological environment has a certain inspiration.
