In respond to the energy crisis, the environmental degradation and the global warming, how to walk the road of the sustainable development is becoming a social issue. With the high-speed growth of economy, the demand for energy in China will still grow substantially and continuously. The construction-related energy usage accounts for about 30% of the total energy consumption in our country. It is urgent for us to deal with several tasks like decrease energy usage for buildings, reduce carbon dioxide emission and govern the fog and haze problem. Therefore, the passive house and net-zero energy buildings have received the widespread attention.This dissertation analyzes and research the international and domestic net zero energy buildings, summary international and domestic energy polies, utilizations and technologies for renewable energy and building energy efficiency, combine with the characteristics of energy usage and building types in China, then we get the feasibility of net zero energy buildings in China.In the process, I set up building models in three different climate zones, which is Cold area represented by Beijing, Hot summer and cold winter area represented by Shanghai and Hot summer and warm winter area represented by Shenzhen. By combining passive energy saving technologies and active technologies, cooperating with the solar photovoltaic power generation then answer the question about whether or not we can approach net zero energy for residential buildings in China. The conclusions are list below.(1)Without considering the fog and haze condition, for Cold area the maximum number floor of net zero energy building is 9, for Hot summer and cold winter and warm winter area the maximum number is 7, for the Hot summer and cold winter area, the maximum number floor is 7.(2)If consider the influence of the fog and haze, the maximum number of floor for Cold area is 7, the maximum number of floor for the Hot summer and warm winter and the Hot summer and cold winter area are both 5.
