In order to promote the construction of new socialist countryside, we must make village renovation planning, an important part of which is the renovation of drinking water facilities. To make scientific planning and management of water supply facilities, investigating the situation of water use in rural areas, grasping the driving factors of water consumption and its change tendency is of great significance. This paper takes the regulation villages as the research object, makes scientific investigation and reasonable prediction on the drinking water and values current water saving countermeasures.First of all, this paper takes 10 regulation villages in total of 100 households as the research object, makes statistics of the basic situation of the rural area water by means of questionnaire, uses mean analysis, single factor analysis of variance and Tukey test system to analyze the characteristics of rural water consumption and confirms 11 main factors influencing the per capita daily water demand in rural areas. At the same time, it reasonably speculates on the reasons for the positive and negative effects of the factors on the per capita daily water consumption. Analysis shows that the average daily water consumption basically increases as the family per capita income, laundry / bathing frequency or the number of washing machine / water dispenser / water heater / taps increases, decreases as the family net population increases. Under the condition of intermittent water supply, the average daily water consumption decreases with the increase of the water supply time. Under the condition that the price of water is charged per ton, the average daily water consumption is decreased with the increase of the price of water, if the price is charged per year, it increases with the increase of the price of water.Secondly, the thesis predicted the water consumption quota in villages with different living conditions, also establishes the model of water through regression analysis method, validates the model error is less than 10%, and predicts the water consumption in rural areas in 2021 and 2026, about 200.75L/p·d,236.90 L/p·d respectively.Finally, the thesis confirms the weight of each index according to the existing water saving measures, calculates the water saving composite index of other villages based on the data of the Zhongping village, values the water saving effect among different villages by comparing different indexes and provide some water saving measures. The water saving behavior in Shengtian and Piji village is more effective, the water saving behaviors in Tangsiyue Village are less than the others', and the effect of it is relatively weak. In order to improve the effect of water saving in rural areas, the author suggests an appropriate increase in the price of water, setting the gradient of water price, to ensure low-income household water demand and to curb high household water consumption which is an unnecessary waste as well. In addition, the author encourages the villagers reduce unnecessary use of living water and increase living sewage and wastewater reuse through a variety of ways.
