As an important constitution of tourist industry, recreation and leisure business is developing in a fast speed. During intercultural communicative activities, cultural difference is not neglectable between source language and target language in translation process. If translators carried out translation under the guidance of formal equivalence principle, the targeted text would be outputted in an awkward way. Therefore, translator should maintain the connotations in source culture and interpret exact information to its target readers. This translation report takes some parts of the book Recreation, Events and Tourism Businesses as its source text, and regards the three rules of Skopostheorie (the skopos rules, the coherence rule and the fidelity rule) as its theoretical framework. From the perspective of Skopostheorie, the author of this report (also the translator of the source text) selects some feasible translation methods to deal with translation, so as to interpret the original text to the target one exactly. Moreover, the corresponding methods have highlighted the practical function of tourism and business text translation. In the meantime, the author uses certain examples to explicate translation purposes. After a thorough understanding of the original text, the translation quality has also been elevated. In the conclusion part, the author lists some findings of the report, proposes some ideas and gives suggestions to further studies.
