With "Chinese fever" continues to heat up, the selection among those one who Teaching Chinese to foreign students as Second Language become increasingly intense and rigorous. As a reflection of the quality of teachers, teaching language has become the focus of investigation.Due to the importance of language of instruction in Teaching Chinese as Second Language, this paper took Teaching Chinese as second language as an example, from both the quantitative and qualitative aspects, analyzed its interpersonal function of language of instruction, we discussed the language methods for interpersonal function of language of instruction, to provide reference for the specific teaching practice. The study is composed of five parts.The first part is an introduction. Principally, it introduces research purpose, content and significance, current research related to domestic and foreign, and noted the innovation of this topic, as well as research methods and corpus description.The second part is the quantitative analysis about the language of instruction. Based on Halliday's functional grammar theory, using Wang Dechun and Chen Ruiduan's stylistic scale as a reference, by annotate its words and function, it presented a quantitative analysis for language of instruction in Teaching Chinese as Second Language from three dimensions of tone type, name pronouns and loanwords, in order to explore the characteristics of the interpersonal function of "quantity" of the language of instruction.The third part is the qualitative analysis about the means of expression for interpersonal function of language of instruction. As is microscopic analysis, refer to the studies about Stylistic Variables of Liu Dawei and Li Xiaofeng et al, this part combined the corpus text presented a qualitative analysis for language of instruction in four variables(influence variable, affinities variable, interactive variable and subjective variable), to explore the characteristics of the interpersonal function of "quality" of the language of instruction.The fourth part is the analysis and evaluation for interpersonal functions of individual case of language of instruction. This chapter based on the result of two and three chapters, selected the actual class teaching language of Teaching Chinese as Second Language overseas for analysis and evaluate,to make relevant comments for specific teaching.The fifth part is the conclusion. It summarized the insufficient and enlightenment of this study.
