The translation practice is the process in which the translator applies the translation theory to practice, and the translation report is a comprehensive summary of the whole translation process. The translation material is the excerpts of part one of Mindware: Tools for Smart Thinking, which mainly presents four aspects,i.e.,schemas,spreading activation effect, framing and heuristics. In order to be faithful to the original text, translator mainly uses literal translation in the translation process. The translation report mainly consists of four parts. The first part is translation task description, which gives a brief introduction to the basic information of the original text,i.e.,the source of translation material, the author and main content of the work. The book mainly teaches us how to make better decisions and how to apply the scientific theory to problems encountered in reality. The second part explains the process of the translation, including the translation preparations, the difficult points in the process of revising the first translation draft, and improvement of the translation.Translation and translation correction are carried out in the translation-aided tool SDL Trados. The third part is case analysis,in which the translator analyses the difficulties in the translation and the solution from the aspects of words, sentences and discourse. What translator need to solve in translation are the psychological terms, elliptical and complex sentences, and the cohesion and coherence of discourse in the original text. The fourth part is translation summary, which is the summary of the whole translation process and experience of the translation practice.Through this translation practice, the translator has gained a deeper of understanding of the translation theories, and has become familiar with the use of translation-aided tools, and also has recognized the deficiencies of translation ability, which has some guiding significance for the translator's later translation practice.
