This article is a translation practice report on literary work of "The Tomb of Wild Chrysanthemum".Focusing on the emerging different understandings in the translation process,this report has analyzed and concluded,and summarized the methods and experiences of literary works' translation.The author hopes it can open a new window for the further translation's road."The Tomb of Wild Chrysanthemum" is a novel of truth love and sad feelings.Pure love novel is characterized by delicate description,and usually contrasts the emotional colors of the whole work by portrayal characterization,environmental description,etc.During the translation process,the translation of the Chinese inherent noun which are unique in Japanese and appearing in the original,the description of characters,the description of environment are analyzed.The translation practice report attempts to test the translation practice by using the "Three Principles of Translation" by Alexander Fraser Tytler,a famous American translator."Three Principles of Translation"emphasizes on being faithful to thought,style and fluency of the original.China's famous writer Mao Dun also proposes that the literary translation is conveying the original artistic conception by using another language and letting readers gain the same inspiration,touching and the feeling of beauty just as reading the original when they read translation.The author believes that the translation of literary works should let readers feel the original's beauty,as Mao Dun said,but the original's beauty should be reproduced on the basis of observing the Tytler's "Three Principles of Translation".In the translation process of this work,the author wants to solve the problem of how to make readers feel the original's beauty.Therefore,the author believes that this work's translation can be well explained by using the "Three Principles of Translation" and appropriate translation methods.The report consists of three main parts;The first chapter mainly introduces the translation object "The Tomb of Wild Chrysanthemum" from the writer,the cultural background of the work and the storyline,and explains the author wants to solve the problem of how to reproduce the original's beauty and the matters which are needed to notice in the translation of literary work.The second chapter is about the particularity of literary translation and the introduction of Tytler's "Three Principles of Translation".The first section mainly shows that literary translation is different from other translations,it is aesthetic,and it must pay attention to reflect the original's beauty in the translation process.The second section mainly introduces Tytler's "Three Principles of Translation",they are:1)A translation should give a,complete transcript of the ideas of the original work.2)The style and manner of wrting should be of the same character as that of the original.3)A translation should have all the ease of the original composition.Finally,the reasons why the "Three Principles of Translation" can be used flexibly in "The Tomb of Wild Chrysanthemum" are explained.The third chapter combines with the "Three Principles of Translation",which are divided into three parts to analyze,explain and summarize the concrete cases in the translation practice of "The Tomb of Wild Chrysanthemum".Firstly,the translation method of foreignizing translation and free translation are adopted for analyzing the emerging Chinese inherent noun in this work.Secondly,the author adopts the amplification,free translation and other translation methods and explains the application of Tytler's "Three Principles of Translation" in character description.Finally,the description of environment contrasts the emotional colors of the whole work.How to choose a more appropriate modifier to express the original atmosphere is a difficult problem.Combined with "Three Principles of Translation",the translation methods such as free translation,reversing and division are used to translate.Overall,in the translation process of specific sentence and situation,the author tries to be faithful to the original and let readers feel the original's beauty,and the author confirms the application of the Tytler's "Three Principles of Translation" very well.In practice,the author constantly sums up experience,learns translation theory,strengthens own translation skills,and strives to improve the translation.
