Directional complement,consisting of complicated rules and abundant meaning,is the focus and difficult point of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.However,in Korean there is no such component,as a consequence of which,Korean students are unfamiliar with its form and meaning.What's more,Korean students are also affected by the negative transfer of mother tongue in the process of learning directional complement.Therefore,directional complement is one of the biggest difficulties for Korean students to study Chinese.And it is also the focus of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.There are many studies on directional complement acquired by foreign students,while there are few studies targeted at the language learners from Korea.Because of the increasing number of Korean students studying Chinese in China,we need to do some research on current situation in which Korean students learn directional complement.In order to learn more about the overall situation of Korean students' learning directional complement,this dissertation is targeted at Korean students who study Chinese in China,investigates them by using questionnaires,and sums up the errors they make while leaning it.Through the analysis of these errors from various angles,this dissertation concluded the causes of the errors.What's more,the author also compares directional complement in Chinese with the corresponding forms in Korean and analyzes the similarities and differences between them.Through the statistical analysis of the survey results,it provides some useful suggestions of learning directional complement for Korean students who study Chinese in China,and offers some strategies to help teach Chinese as a foreign language.
