Exploration On The Application Of Shi Dong Miao Nationality's Decorations In The Female Fashion

The Miao nationality has a long history and rich cultural heritage.Its clothing has lots of kinds.With the development of the times,the shadow of the traditional Miao dress gradually away with us.This is not conducive to the development of national costumes,but also not conducive to the diversification of national costumes,the formation of diversification.Therefore,based on the phenomenon of national dress gradually subsided,under the guidance of the spirit—“the past serve the present” and“ the old gives place to the new”,it is imperative to create modern clothing with national style and spirit of the times.Shi Dong Zhen,Taijiang county is located in the hinterland of Qiandongnan,is the birthplace of the Miao culture and its costumes,embroidery,batik and silverware,with distinctive ethnic characteristics.This thesis studies the Miao decoration of Shi Dong Zhen,the traditional decorative patterns are extracted,deformed,reconstructed and integrated to design a series of women's suits which match with modern aesthetic characteristics.Not only to maintain national characteristics,but also to the trend of the times.From the perspective of modern aesthetic,we should explore the characteristics of its clothing culture and find a new way to pass the national culture.This thesis uses the methods of literature research,field survey,design verification,and the combination of theory and practice to study the topic.The whole thesis is divided into the following parts:First,the author went to study the field investigation of Guiyang,Kaili,Zhenyuan,Xijiang Miao village,Taijiang Shi Dong,in April 2015.To know the historic development of Qiandongnan Miao costumes and expound its origin,type,branch and distribution.Second,explore Shi Dong Miao costumes,embroidery and batik decoration feature vector.Analyze the decoration of symbols,color,style and structure respectively.Third,according to the design principles and guiding ideology,to explore how to apply the sculpture of the Miao nationality in female clothing fashion which can achieve the combination of ethnic characteristics and modern aesthetic.Extraction of the most representative of the decorations Miao nationality from the design practice,the author tries to carry out a good inheritance and protection.Fourth,draw the conclusion of this thesis,which is a useful supplement to the theoretical research of the Miao nationality's decorative pattern,and open up a new way to the traditional craft of Miao Nationality.
