This is a translation report.The translation material is extracted from chapter two of the working paper,Learning from IDA Experience: Lessons from IEG Evaluations,published by the World Bank Group in 2016.The text describes evaluations offered by IEG on IDA operations on its thematic areas including inclusive growth,gender equality,climate change and crisis response.According to analysis of linguistic features and text typology,the source text is both an informative and operative text with a lot of professional expressions and complicated sentences.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the translator employs appropriate translation methods,such as,amplification,omission,conversion,division,and restructuring to deal with some translation difficulties and aims at producing a complete and accurate target text as a reference for domestic readers.Meanwhile,the translator wants to accumulate experience and improve her translation competence through this practice.
