There is a difference between active sentences and passive sentences in most languages.Passive sentences play an important role in the communication of our life, which has also been the focus of linguists.Passive sentences are important in both the Russian and the Chinese languages.Russian is an inflectional language, which is grammatically well developed, and its lexical form is very rich, containing different forms of words expressing different grammatical meanings, which makes it a morphological language.Chinese, however,is a non-inflectional language, which often needs more word-formational devices to form new words or express various grammatical meanings. To be specific,it is mainly based on semantics, expresses different grammatical meanings through adding new words to a given word or deleting words from a sentence, which makes it an analytical language.Nevertheless, passive sentences are a basic and important sentence structure in both the Chinese and the Russian languages.Despite the fact that passive sentences in both the Chinese and the Russian languages emphasize the object of an action, there are great differences in form, grammar, and pragmatics. In this paper, passive sentences in both languages will be taken as the object of study, and comparative analysis of passive sentences in these two languages will be made.Comparative analysis will be specifically made mainly in the aspects of form, structure and function, intending to find out the similarities and differences of passive sentences between these two languages. In addition, error analysis will be respectively made based on the errors that Chinese and Russian second language students make when using passive sentences in Russian and Chinese language, hoping to provide some practical information and use for reference for the teaching of passive sentences in both languages.
