A Research On The Relationship Between Personality And Interpersonal Vexation:the Mediating Effect Of Defense Style

The purpose of this study was to discuss the relationship among intercourse vexation,personality,the defense style of college students,in order to further improve interpersonal situation of college students by psychological basis.The study used Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Short Scale for Chinese,Defense Style Questionnaire(DSQ),Interpersonal Relationship Diagnosis scale to survey 1050 students from freshmen year to senior year,using SPSS19.0 to analyze all the data,not only analyzed intercourse vexation,personality,defense style in the differences of demographic variables,but also examined the relationship among intercourse vexation,personality and defense style,at the same time discussed the defense style playing mediating effect between personality and intercourse vexation.The results of the study were as follows:First,there was significant grade difference on intercourse vexation,there was significant gender difference on chat,relationships with the opposite sex,communication with friends.Second,there was remarkable gender difference on psychoticism and neuroticism of college students' personality,there was significant grade difference on neuroticism and lie.Third,there was remarkable gender difference on college students' immature defense style,there was significant difference of grade on concealment factor,other factors were no significant difference.Fourth,the psychoticism of college students' personality was significantly positive correlation with intercourse vexation and immature defense style,and psychoticism was significantly negative correlation with mature defense means;Neuroticism was significantly positive correlation with intercourse vexation,immature and middle defense style;Extroversion was significantly negative correlation with intercourse vexation,immature and middle defense style,and neuroticism way significant positive correlation with mature defense;Immature and middle defense style were significantly positively related to intercourse vexation.Fifth,neuroticism and immature defense style could significantly positively predict and factor of intercourse vexation,extroversion could significantly negative predictintercourse vexation and chat,communication with friends and with the opposite sex,psychoticism could significantly positively predict the chat,treat people,communication with friends.Sixth,defense style played a partial mediating role between personality and intercourse vexation.
