A Practice Report On E-C Translation And Dubbing Of The Movie Twilight

This thesis is a practice report on the translation and dubbing practice of the movie Twilight.The film is a romantic film,which is a love story of the human girl Bella and the vampire Edward.It is based on Stephenie Meyer's novel,directed by Catherine Hardwicke.The author downloads the movie Twilight,listens and writes the movie,translates the subtitle of Twilight,and then dubs it.This report includes two parts: the subtitle translation and dubbing.The author uses the translation strategies of domestication and foreignization and case studies about these translation strategies and some translation skills like word for word Translation,amplification,omission,translation of names and place names and case studies about these translation skills in the translation;and then the author dubs the movie Twilight and using a dubbing way:paralanguage in the dubbing.At present,movie subtitle translation and dubbing are separate at home..The report combines the two parts to avoid the inconvenience caused by translators and dubbers.Hopefully,this report will contribute to the translation and dubbing in the future.
