A Reflective Research Report On The C-E Translation Of Achievements Of The 7th-9th China-Northeast Asia Expos

Based on the press conference of the 7thto 9thChina-Northeast Asia Expo(It is officially named as China-Northeast Asia Expo from the 9th session.)results,the author combs and analyzes achievements of the Expo to make a reflective research report on the C-E translation of the conference.The contents of this report belong to the category of economic and trade English.In terms of the characteristics of economic and trade English,the author makes a specific analysis on translation standard,purpose,methods and then comes to the conclusion that comprehensive translation strategies and skills are supposed to be adopted when it comes down to exhibition text.Under the guidance of Nida's Functional Equivalence Theory,the author has done her research from the perspective of lexicon and syntax respectively.The paper is divided into two parts: one is the reflective report and the other is the translation.In the first part,the author identifies and analyzes problems,then finds out appropriate translation strategies and methods.To be exact,the author pays rapt attention to the expressions of proper nouns and technical terms.For the syntax issue,the author carefully deconstructs the logical relations of long and complicated sentences and non-subject sentences to reconstruct them with proper English.With all the hard work done during the translation practice and the thesis writing,the report helps the author improve the skills of translation and deepen the understanding of business English.The author hopes the report could do its little bit help to build corpora of China-Northeast Asia Expos and provides some inspirations and reference for the translators working in the field of convention and exhibition.
