A Practice Report On Interpreting For The South Korea Tourists To Shaoshan City,Hu'nan

With the integration into the global economy,especially after entering the World Trade Organization,China,a powerful country,has attracted more and more tourists from various countries with the extensive and profound history and culture.Tourism English has been paid attention to by travelers all over the world.The writer had the chance to work in Hu'nan Red International Travel Co.Ltd.and served as an interpreter for Korean tourists and the company.After the end of the practice,the writer transfered the audio material into text.At the same time,using the theories the author had learned,the author did plenty of analysis of the source language and the target language and put forward some solutions to the problems in the process of interpreting.Meanwhile,the translation skills and strategies were summarized.Then,the Report of Interpreting was formed.The report records the practice of the author serving as the interpreter between Hu'nan Red Tourism Co.Ltd.and South Korean tourists,the author described the task from the perspective of the advance preparation,implementation of the task,performance evaluation.At the same time,she used examples in interpreting to discuss the interpretation process,and summarized the interpreting strategies,such as the importance of task preparation,a comprehensive understanding of the speaker,the problems in the task.The report offered the solutions to some technical problems the interpreter encountered in the process of interpreting task such as long and complicated sentences,and emphasized the strategic issues like the importance of preparation before the task and psychological quality as well.The report pointed out some problems the author had encountered and corresponded solutions and strategies by analyzing this interpretation task,and put forward suggestions for improvement in the task.
