There are several functions existing in linguistics, such as communication,symbolization and aesthetics. Functional Linguistics holds the view that the communication is the key function and language teaching should attach more importance on communication. The research of linguistic functional items stands on the principle of functions. The study classifies some specific expressions which are much used, so we can advance the process of research and teaching. The expression of "insight" is the common expressions in Chinese, and it's used widely in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The paper observes the expressions of "insight" from the grammar in the guidance of the theory of "structure-context-function" into 4 types, after that we observe the 4 expressions of "insight" from the grammar, the semantics and the application, and according to this, we discuss and analysis some errors which Foreign students commonly made in learning Chinese as a Foreign language, and aimed at these reasons, we point out the essential, feasible means that teachers can use, so that we can make some constructive exploration in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
