The Translation Report On The Technical Scheme Of Compressor Control System

With increasing economic globalization and dramatic development of science and technology,this era has seen the English for science and technology increasingly praticalized and more widely used in all walks of life.As one section of English for science and technology,mechanical texts are highly specialized with strong logics and widely used.Therefore,the accurate translation of such texts based on the textual features is of great significance in practice and of some reference values in research of applied translation.This paper,the report on the translation practice,focuses on the detailed analysis of many examples chosen from the translation practice to discuss the technical scheme of compressor control system.In addition,characteristics of the vocabulary,syntax,discourse and some other aspects of this kind of English for science and technology,and solutions for difficulties existing in the translation practice under the guidance of the skopos theory and translation strategies chosen are discussed in this paper.On the basis of the translation preparation,translation conclusion and translation introspection,the author divides this paper into four chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the translation project,including the detailed introduction of the project background,project characteristics,meanings of project and the specific requirements.In the second chapter,the author shows the whole translation process which mainly involves the translation preparation,translation conclusion and translation introspection.The important guiding theory in the translation practice,three principles of the skopos theory(skopos rule,fidelity rule and coherence rule),and evaluation criterion are well introduced in the third chapter so as to lead readers to the top priority of this paper——the case analysis.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of this paper.In this chapter,the author summarizes the report on translation practice,gains in the translation process,problems recognized by the author in the translation process and efforts which should be taken to go further.The author of this report aims to learn from pevious studies done by fellow researchers in mechanical text translation in the hope of sharing with them my research finding and provide a reference for future research in this field.
