Research On The Content Of Cultural Teaching In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language In Thailand

In recent years,with the development of national power and cooperation of countries among the whole world,“Mandarin fever” becomes hotter than before.Nowadays,China's soft power turns to be stronger because of the cooperation between countries.As an important part,culture plays a vital role during the communication between countries.The balance between cultural teaching and language teaching greatly promotes the spreading of Chinese as well as Chinese culture.With the development and extension of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,cultural teaching turns to be a more distinct branch and contains a variety of aspects.This paper,according to theory of cultural teaching in Chinese teaching,explains the following aspects,the connection between culture and language,and principles for cultural teaching.Then,according to the writer's teaching experience in Thailand and the research to textbooks which are widely used in Thailand,the contents of cultural teaching of those textbooks are analyzed and summarized.Based on the major contents and taking Spring Festival as an example,teaching design and teaching practice were carried out.After that,an interview on the students has been conducted and some suggestions are put forward.Through the research of the content of cultural teaching,teaching design and teaching practice for the cultural content,I hope to offer teachers a train of thought towards cultural teaching and to promote students' language and intercultural communicative abilities,and provide more useful information to future research on cultural teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
