Collection And Study On The Using Of Words Of Juyan Wooden Slips Of Han Dynasty

Juyan site of Han Dynasty is located in today's Ejina River's basin within the Gansu province and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region,Inner Mongolia Ejinaqi Black Castle.Two batches of slips which named Juyan were unearthed in there.The first time is that between 1930 and 1931,more than eleven thousand slips which was named as Juyan old wooden slips by the academic community were discovered.The second time is that between 1972 and 1974,nineteen thousand six hundred and thirty-seven slips which was named as Juyan new wooden slips were discovered.This paper will refer to Juyan old wooden slips and Juyan new wooden slips as Juyan wooden slips of Han Dynasty.They were written in Han dynasty,having word features in Han dynasty.For example,the phenomenon of variant character is prominent,the phenomenon of interchaneable character is common,and the using words are not standardized.It is helpful to understand the official script's evolution by studying the Juyan wooden slips of Han Dynasty and it is also important for comprehending the relationship of characters and words.This thesis is divided into five parts.Firstly,it gives us an account of the research materials,research status and research methods in the introduction part.Secondly,the first chapter makes a quantitative statistics in variant character,proceeding from the analysis of the forms.Seven kinds of variant characters are discussed in detail: adding component,reducing component,changing component,displacing component,using different formation of characters,confusing component,simplifying the words.The form reasons of variant character is the influence of official script's evolution,different structure word and the improper using of the words.Thirdly,The second chapter gives us two aspects to study the using condition of the interchangeable characters.They are that the original characters have the form condition with the interchangeable characters that spreading to now can be seen by us or not,andthere is a close connection between the development of interchangeable characters and establishment of phonetic system.Fourthly,the third chapter makes a study of the ancient and modern words from the meaning of words and glyph.This paper argues that the semantic extension is the most important reason to the forming of the ancient and modern characters.The characters of the loan strategy is another reason.Fifthly,The fourth chapter makes a detailed study on the relationship between character and word,focusing on one more word table,special words with mufti font,a font form mufti word and a word with multiple font.It is pretty valuable to study the relationship between the characters and words used in Juyan wooden slips of Han Dynasty.
