This paper attempts to compare verb reduplication forms of both languages "Chinese and Thai".According to speech corpus,this paper can be analyzed the classification of these two verb reduplication languages and the semantic and syntactic function based on semantic and cognitive theory,and apply descriptive and comparison method to determine a similarities and differences between Chinese and Thai verb reduplication forms.This paper is consisted of five chapters as following;Chapter one introduction.Introduction comprised research significance,research circumstances and selected important detail.Chapter two is about the comparison and description of both Chinese and Thai verb reduplication forms,and to show the similarities and dissimilarity of these two language's verb reduplication forms,which involve the definition of types of verb,verb reduplication form,and some Chinese and Thai reduplication structures.Chapter three consists an analysis of semantic function of these two languages based on Chinese and Thai linguistic structures and research.According to relevant related research,this paper found that semantic of these both languages verb reduplication forms connected with "volume of time" and "spirit".Chapter four contains an analysis of syntactic function of verb reduplication forms based on Chinese and Thai linguistic and grammatical rule system,which the study as well as focus on limitation of syntactic composition.Chapter five is about a comparison's result of both Chinese and Thai verb reduplication forms in chapter three and four.Summarizing the similarities and dissimilarities between Chinese and Thai verb reduplication forms enclose with clear example to be more understand and useful for learners.Chapter six contains a summary of research's consequence.
