Practice Report On Web Translation Of Amazon Cross-border E-Commerce

Cross-border e-commerce has become a new growth point of foreign trade in recent years,which shows the characteristics of rapid expansion of trade scale and huge potential.Today,out of cross-border e-commerce sellers in China,Amazon,e Bay,and Ali Express sellers occupy the majority.In the actual operation of Amazon cross-border e-commerce,page optimization plays a decisive role.The translation of text on the page is particularly important,and I translated around 18,000 words about the product information mainly from Chinese to English in the project.At the same time,influenced by language,culture,foreign habits and other factors,the quality of web translation has become a major obstacle.Mistranslation,mechanical translation and many functional,cultural and linguistic translation errors still exist.Taking Amazon as an example,by reviewing a large amount of literature,this practice report,combining a lot of problems in the translation practice in Hangzhou G-elite E-commerce Com.,ltd,will firstly show us the analysis of cross-border e-commerce development.Next are the language features of the English translation part in Amazon page optimization,the existing problems translation part of the page optimization on Amazon web.Then are the general translation techniques and the case analysis of English translation part on Amazon web.Finally,it will the main web translation strategy throughout the translation process I encountered.In dealing with different vocabulary and sentence features of translated texts,this report illustrates some translation techniques such as the flexible use of semantic extension,lexical conversion,omission,amplification,and puts forward some personal opinions on how to improve the quality of translation,optimize the web page,and improve the ranking of the product.After finishing this translation project,I summarized some general translation experience about Amazon web translation.I think translators need to get familiar with certain language features,translation steps and flexibly apply translation strategies.The report looks forward to providing help to translators of English web translators.
