In recent years, the problem of civil servants’job burnout is more and more serious and complex. In 2004, the survey of Chinese workplace burnout status report has shown that the degree of job burnout in Fujian province is located in the forefront. Among them, the degree of burnout of civil servants is higher than other occupations, topping the list in 2004 and the extent reaches 46.40%. Among them, the generation after 80s and the group that works within five years possess the highest degree of burnout, and this part of the population are mostly distributed in the grassroots, and even township positions. In the period of transition of the government, job burnout of township civil servants not only affects the individual’s physical and mental health, but also affects the government administrative efficiency, and even hinders the government reform and the state governance ability of modernization. In our country, the researches on job burnout are relatively mature, but most of them aim at police and teacher. The researches on township civil servants are still inadequate at present, coupled with the particularity of township civil servants and work environment, which makes researches on township civil servants’ job burnout more complicated.With the help of questionnaire and interview records, combined with the method of literature reading, from the theoretical foundation of the research of civil servants’ job burnout, the thesis analyzes the theoretical basis of the job burnout of civil servants. It combines with the questionnaire survey of township civil servants of A county in Zhangzhou City. It analyses the status and the causes of township civil servants’ job burnout from five aspects: an analysis of status quo of township civil servants’ burnout in A County, the particularity of township civil servants, pay and promotion, working pressure, and interpersonal relationships, etc. At the same time, based on the experience of effective intervention for township civil servants’ job burnout in some domestic provinces and cities, the thesis puts forward some specific suggestions and countermeasures from five aspects: the improvement of township institutional environment, the perfection of the performance appraisal and remuneration system, the establishment of effective channels for the promotion and the formulation of civil servants’ career planning, the construction of civil servants’ mental and healthy management system, in order to provide the references of theoretical and practical value for effective intervention about township civil servants’ job burnout in our country.
