An Analysis Of ASEAN Social Cultural Community From The Perspective Of Regional Identity

Ragional identity in international relations theory,which is the prescriptive of state actors distinct from other actors in region,is obtaining self identity differ from others in regional behavior,emphasizes the important role played by similar and common interests in social culture in the process of influencing national behavior.Constructivism concept of regional identity views from the core element of identity,pays attention to the analysis of the relationship between concepts,norms,identity and national interests,explores the important role played by shaping common awareness,building regional mechanism,seeking common interests in the formation of regional identity.At the same time,they emphasize that ragional identity directly affects the thinking orientation,self position,policy choices and distribution of interests of countries in the ragion,and plays an important role in the process of developing ragional community.Because of the diversity of internal race,language culture and religion between ASEAN countries,which exacerbated the differences between them originally existed,shaping the regional identity has been an important task in regional integration process.As an important part of the construction of ASEAN community,ASEAN socio-cultural community is based on respecting the differences in national cultural,through communication and interaction in social and cultural fields,promoting the formation of mutual recognition and common awareness,finally constructing the collective identity based on regional identity.The construction of ASEAN social-cultural community is a gradual process,and its development has experienced three stages:germination,development and formation.Through combing the development stage,it is not difficult to find the important role of ASEAN socio-cultural community in promoting the regional identity in the process,can be seen and the main results of the specific practices of ASEAN socio cultural community building,also find the problems and causes in its construction process.Based on the summary of the concepts and theories of regional identity,this paper tries to establish a set of evaluation criteria and framework.On this basis,combined with the development process and the specific practice of ASEAN social-cultural community,assess its existing results,find the existing problems and explore the corresponding countermeasures.There are six parts in this paper:The first part is introduction,which mainly present the promblem this paper intends to solve,the significant of the topic,overseas and domestic research status about the problem,and the research methods of this paper.The second part is construction of analysis framework,analyze related concepts so as to have a preliminary understanding about basic connotation of regional identity,and introduces the constructivism concept of regional identity.To determine the basic evaluation standards of ASEAN socio-cultural community construction achievements,and then used to analyze the specific problems.The third part mainly introduces the basic process of ASEAN socio cultural community construction,which is divided into three stages based on some important nodes of ASEAN community construction,including embryonic stage,development stage and formation stage,and analyzes the important role regional identity played in various stages.The fourth part focuses on the present achievements of ASEAN socio-cultural community construction,summarizes four characteristics according to the policy has been implemented,introdues and analyzes specific working means below the characteristics by relying on the documents about ASEAN socio cultural community construction.The fifth part emphasizes to evaluate existing achievements of ASEAN socio-cultural community by using the evaluation criteria mentioned earlier,and analyzes the deficiencies in the process,puts forward the corresponding countermeasures so as to provide reference to community continues to advance.The sixth part is the conclusion part of this paper,which is the summary of the basic content of this article,and puts forward the basic ideas of development of ASEAN community.
