The flipped classroom, as a new teaching model, has attracted enormous attention from researchers at home and abroad. With the development of education informatizationn and curriculum reformation, the flipped classroom has been gradually introduced into the teaching of different subjects, leading to an increasing growth in related practice research. Although studies about the flipped classroom are immense, few of them focus on its application in ancient poetry teaching. Therefore, discussions on how to apply the flipped classroom to ancient poetry teaching successfully not only promotes its application in middle school ancient poetry teaching or even Chinese subject teaching but also helps the ancient poetry teaching in middle school out of the traditional examination-oriented misunderstanding.Based on the Chinese subject, this thesis focuses on the combination of flipped classroom and middle school ancient poetry teaching. It summarizes current theoretical and practical studies of flipped classroom from domestic and abroad through literature research, and designs the flipped classroom model for ancient poetry teaching as well as the online learning platform combined with case analyses. The experimental method is adopted to conduct comparative teaching studies in two classes of the same level, in which the flipped classroom and traditional teaching model are carried on respectively. Additionally, the students'level, factors may affecting the flipped classroom implementation as well as the effects of the flipped classroom are studied through questionnaires and interviews. It is shown through the practical results that the flipped classroom teaching model in middle school is beneficial for arousing students'interest in ancient poetry, promoting their learning efficiency and cultivating their appreciation ability of ancient poetry. The research results of this thesis provide certain references for the application of flipped classroom in Chinese subject.Fist of all, the definition, characteristics and the theoretical basis of the flipped classroom are introduced. The research status of the flipped classroom at home and abroad, Chinese ancient poetry teaching in middle school are summarized. Secondly, the flipped classroom model and teaching procedures are put forward based on the analyzing of characteristics of the ancient poetry teaching in middle school, and an e-learning platform based on QQ+network terminals has been built. Then, the ancient poetry teaching practices based on the flipped classroom in middle school are carried on with the help of e-learning platform, the practices are analyzed and summarized. Finally, a summary is made to generalize the work in this paper. Suggestions are proposed for further research.
