In recent years, in the situation of University graduates' employment difficult year after year, secondary vocational students' employment rate is much higher than undergraduate and college students', but the rate of low quality should not be ignored. There are several reasons lead to this situation, including social factors, school factors and personal factors. Among them, the lack of a scientific and reasonable career planning is one of the important factors.Under that circumstances, The author had carried out social work services in a senior vocational and technical school, using social work service to solve the career planning problems of secondary vocational students to do the action research—dividing the social work service into several cycles, each cycle explored the more reasonable content and more effective mode on the basis of last cycle's rethink to solve the problem of career planning in vocational schools. In the first cycle of action, Based on the method of social class work and context in career planning textbooks to provide social work service to an electrical class of grade one, but the service effect without much effect. Then, the author adjusted the action direction for the next cycle based on the rethink to that results, and this cycle got a better results compared with the last cycle obviously, for the reason that the service content in this cycle was based on the actual demand of our service objects rather than the career planning textbook contents. Therefore, the author attempt to discuss the suitable service content and mode of using social work service based on the analysis of two cycles action to solve career planning problems in the secondary vocational students. The study found that the secondary vocational student's career planning problems exist in three aspects, one is the education level was lack of attention to career planning, including the aspects of school and society, and the second is students were short of the sufficient knowledge and understanding to career planning, and subjective need and objective services don't match, the third is the secondary vocational student's identity of "grassroots workers" were neglected, leading to lack of the relevant career planning. Consequently, career planning content should not be limited in a narrow sense, not only including self-awareness and improving ability of work needs from the “Student” identity of secondary vocational school students, but also including the labor protection, labor safety consciousness and the related content from the identity of “Grassroots workers”. At the same time, we need form a comprehensive model which including social case work, social class work, group work and community work to solve the career planning problem form multi-angle and multi-level. The last, the author found that the social work service is a kind of action research, and it should also become a kind of action research in order to give the academic significance to social work service.
