The major identity of postgraduates majoring in education,it is not only affects the student's internal driving force,the judgment of major value,but also relates to the direction of student's life choices,and even about the construction of high-quality in education field in the future.Adjusting and improving the major identity of education students,which is helpful to make full preparation before post-graduate entrance examination and have a clear understanding of professional education;which is useful to stimulate student's interest in learning and improve learning methods;which is beneficial to form a positive attitude and adapt to postgraduate professional learning as well as contributing to develop personnel troops in education field.Therefore,the research on this particular group of major identity plays an important role and has significant meaning.This research attempts to investigate the current situation about major identity of postgraduates majoring in education including Harbin normal university,Shenyang normal university,Liaoning normal university.thus finds problems and characteristics existing in major identity of postgraduates who major in pedagogy.then this paper analyzes the reasons of influences on major identity of master of pedagogy.finally I put forward the measures and solutions to improve the level of major identity.This paper adapts questionnaire survey to select 300 postgraduates who study in three colleges and major in pedagogy as well as interviewing 2 tutors,10 postgraduates who major in pedagogy.Through questionnaire survey,I found that the students' major identity has the following characteristics:1.mater of pedagogy major identity has no significant difference in school and professional categories;2.mater of pedagogy major identity has extremely significant difference in cross disciplinary and grade;3.mater of pedagogy major identity has significant difference in gender and work experience;4.The student' s overall professional ability has a significantly positive correlation with major identity.At the same time I found the following problems in major identity1.mater of pedagogy major identity at a medium or low level as a whole;2.cross-disciplinary master of pedagogy major Identity in a low level;3.“passive”motivation of pursuing graduate degree and unwilling to choose the tutor arein low scores on cognitive dimension;4.mater of pedagogy take the initiative to raise major identity awareness is poor.From the questionnaire survey and interview,I got the following reasons which result in major identity of master of pedagogy not in a high level.1.the student choose major blindly,the utilitarian tendency in the purpose of studying;2.The little interest in studying,the weak learning atmosphere;3.the student misunderstanding of major value,their professional development intention is not match the true employment situation;4.Lacking of appropriate instructional methods of tutors and curricula for the school;5.The circumstance of social the recruitment and employment system as well as the public selection system are inadequate.According to the characteristics,problems,reasons exist in major identity of postgraduates who major in education,I put forward some countermeasures to improving major identity.Including:1.correcting Students' motive of being a postgraduate;2.Stimulating the sense of improving major identity actively and increasing students' learning adaptability;3.Cultivating students' study interests and understanding the pedagogy major value correctly;4.Promoting individual and rationality in pedagogy master's curriculum and enhancing the employment ability;5.focusing on the difference of major identity and maximizing a tutor's guiding role;6.Scaling up advocacy of pedagogy major and improving student's mental health,creating a great scientific research atmosphere.
