Flipped classroom is a new teaching model which subverts the traditional classroom teaching model dominated by teachers.It completely reforms the traditional teaching model which teachers imparts knowledge first and then practice in class.It changes the teachers' role from course mediator into classroom organizer that teachers not only impart knowledge,but also help students complete the learning of conceptual knowledge through micro lesson and finish the internalization of knowledge in the classroom.At present,flipped classroom model has made remarkable achievements in high school and university at home and abroad.However,the research of flipped classroom in application on Vocational school English teaching is not sufficient.Today's English Teaching in vocational schools still use traditional teaching model.The teaching method is single,and lays too much emphasis on imparting knowledge and skills,ignores the cultivation of students' subjectivity and comprehensive quality which causes the vocational education reform process too slow.The goal of this study is to do research on application of flipped classroom in English teaching,construct and enrich tourism English teaching model and improve the effectiveness of English Teaching in secondary vocational schools.On the basis,this study puts forward three research questions.It includes three parts.1.What is the feasibility of flipped classroom in English teaching in vocational school? 2.What is the effect of the application of flipped classroom? 3.How does the flipped classroom promote teachers development? And this study uses the following method to answer the above questions.First,the students prefer flipped classroom to traditional teaching through the observation through questionnaire and interview methods.They have great improvement in their personal quality.So we can know that it is feasible in vocational school.Second,this study uses the pretest and posttest method,and we can find obvious improvement in their average score.Third,we can find that the teacher who uses flipped classroom has improvement in professional ability through the self-consciousness and the student's remarks.The research object is 72 students in two classes and they major in tourism atDalian Tourism School in Liaoning Province.The background of this research is English teaching class in secondary vocational school.The research is on basis of comprehensive analysis of a large number of domestic and foreign literature and makes thorough understanding of flipped classroom research status combined with theory of constructivism,theory of mastery learning,theory of autonomous learning and actual situation of vocational classroom teaching,constructs the flipped classroom teaching mode which is suitable for vocational English class.The three kinds of research methods to analyze the flipped classroom are test,questionnaire and interview.It uses the empirical research methods to analyze the experimental data from two aspects,the quantitative research and qualitative research.The aim is to explore the effect of application of the flipped classroom in English class in vocational schools.The findings of this research can be demonstrated as follows.The flipped classroom teaching model is feasible to vocational English teaching and can improve the teaching effect of the secondary vocational school.It can be attributed to establish the active position of students and provide individualized learning environment and diversified learning manner.The flipped classroom model can also improve the teaching effect of vocational school class teaching.Based on analysis of the data,the average value of score has significant difference between the experimental class and the control class in the final examination,and the flipped classroom teaching mode has a positive role in improving the English teaching effect.The teaching practice of flipped classroom can promote the teachers' professional development and has been widely welcomed and effectively improve the academic performance and comprehensive quality of vocational school students.We can attribute the success of flipped classroom to establish the active position of the learners,and provide personalized learning environment and various learning methods.The implication of this research is that the flipped classroom can reduce the gap between teachers and students,and can improve the relationship between teachers and students.The micro teaching video is a kind of complex task,but it can reuse it in their future work and reduce time.The suggestion for future research is to make morecooperation and exchange with vocational school teachers,strictly control the experimental variables in future teaching practice,and evaluate the flipped classroom scientifically and accurately.At the same time,it is to investigate the influenced factors of flipped classroom teaching,analyze the quality of learning material and personalized learning environment,and design the classroom activity in order to know the impact on the effect of teaching,so that it will provide more guidance for the teaching practice of flipped classroom.This paper puts forward some correspondent solution of feasible measures to optimize the effect of teaching for English teachers and researchers.
