History possess the characteristics of humanity and inheritance, the social development law in which is one of the most important perspectives that we comprehend the world, therefore, history education is of extreme importance. As educational revolution move forward, new advance is required for history teaching aim and methods. New teaching methods spring up continuously, one of which is TBL framework that over comes the disadvantages of traditional teaching mode.Based on constructivism, TBL framework is not only a new teaching mode, but also a new learning mode. Through the specific segment design of TBL framework, teachers can arrange teaching process reasonably and seize students' learning motivation to improve teaching quality in class. The basic characteristics of TBL framework are as follow: “task” is the guideline, “student” is the agent, and “teacher” is the leading instructor. Under the propelling of TBL framework, students will be able to pose question and seek the way to solve problem positively, thus they can master the knowledge and improve learning ability by inner motivation rather than outer factors.First of all, after researching a lot of documents, this thesis deeply analyzed the concept and features of TBL framework, explored its theoretical basis and implementing procedure, and came up with the teaching methods of TBL framework in secondary school history teaching. The teaching methods are elaborated from task design, context creation and the relations between students and teachers. The thesis pointed out that task design is the core, context creation is the key part, and the relationship between students and teacher is a guarantee. Then, the thesis clearly revealed the specific implementing procedures of TBL framework in secondary school history teaching, through a case design and analysis of the lesson “Ban All Other Schools of Thoughts and Worship Confucianism”. The thesis tried to optimize history teaching through teaching introspection and proved that TBL framework can increase the effectiveness of history class. Lastly, the thesis pointed out the advantages and some problems that reserve notice in using TBL framework, to make it more appropriate to secondary school history teaching and more universal.
