Career education is an experience including self-awareness, career awareness,career planning education learning over our lifetime. Senior high school is a transitional stage of basic education and higher education.The columnof "Biology and related occupations" in PEP high school biology textbook facilitate for the students to understand occupy. Biology teachers should make full use of this part of the contents for students' career education.Career education for high school in Japan and the United States were discussed in the research, and career education of domestic high school, especially penetration of career education in biological disciplines were reviewed.The research chose a general high school in Lanzhou as a case,and interviewed the school's principal and biology teachers also conducted a questionnaire survey on some students. To get status quo of career education of this school, including understanding and emphasis on career education of school leaders and biology teachers, involving degree in daily teaching, extent of benefit and needs of students, the difficulty of biology teachers in the penetration of career education in daily teaching.According to the survey, the following problems existed in the sample school : 1.lacking of emphasis on career education; 2. biology teachers,lack theoretical knowledge and the way of penetration was irregular.Besides,biology teachers could not take into account the needs of all students career education; 3. students' self-perception is not clear,and students' learning objectives are poor.What's more, students lack of consciousness of career planning.According to the issue, recommendations from the level of school management,teachers and students are as follow: 1.The school should carry out relevant activities actively to change parents' thoughts,and help parents determine the future direction of the students', so we can gradually carry out a comprehensive career education. 2.biology teachers should strengthen theoretical knowledge and help students understand themselves, make instructional design about occupational information systematically. 3.students should actively cooperate with the teachers during career education, so thatstudents should collect data before class, respond positively in the classroom, exchange timely after-school.
