At present, the scientific method education is received increasing attention by educators, and teaching materials are the basis of scientific method education which is the important carrier of teaching. The study's object are the two versions of teaching materials used widely in Gansu Province junior high school physics, they are compulsory education physical textbooks published by People's Education Press(PEP materials for short) and compulsory education physical textbooks published by Beijing Normal University Press(BNUP materials for short). Then summarizing with ten kinds of scientific method according to David Pawl Ausubel's assimilation theory of cognitive learning, Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development stage, Jerome Seymour Bruner's theory of spiral curriculum, and Robert Mills Gagne's theory of information processing, using the documentary study, comparative analysis method and data statistics analysis method. Besides, comparing and analyzing from two aspects of the proportion of the scientific methods and the way of writing. Finally, the study puts forward to the suggestions to physics teachers in scientific methods education aspect.Through comparative analysis, the study found that firstly, the two versions of materials are still educate mainly depend on implicit scientific method education;second, PEP materials pay more attention to the scientific method of timely manifest education; third, BNUP materials pay more attention to education and training about scientific method in columns; fourth, the scientific methods education have the same changing trend, but they have their own characteristics in specific disposing.
