| In recent three years, the massive open online course(MOOC) has a rapid development and has become a hot topic in the field of education at domestic and foreign. Blended learning(BL) originated from the past web-based education which integrates the dual experience of e-learning and traditional classroom learning. Teachers can teach students in accordance of their aptitude or carry out distance course by BL. BL minimizes the cost to obtain the optimal teaching effect. BL needs the support of virtual learning environment. The platform of MOOC has a lot of powerful functions that many traditional network teaching platform does not have and it provides a new idea and method to carry out BL. The aim of the BL combines with MOOC is to apply information technology to teaching more effectively and enhance students’ learning ability and optimizes the teaching process, then improve the utilization of MOOC. The combination of BL and MOOC has begun to sprout at domestic and foreign and it has a broad prospect.In this paper, I first summarized the domestic and foreign researches and literatures about BL and MOOC and then limited the concept of them. Then I analyze the advantages of MOOC applying in the BL. Secondly, combining the ingredients and teaching links of BL, I construct a framework of BL based MOOC referring to the current mainstream BL designing process and make a design of learning activities, learning process, learning evaluation. In this study, the students of Nanchang University who participate in the public elective course named "Intelligent Source- Introduction to Mathematics" opened in the Chinese University of MOOC platform were chosen as the subjects to test the practices of BL. Finally, according to the experiment date collected by interviewing and questionnaire, I verify the validity and feasibility of BL based MOOC. At the same time, some countermeasures were given to the problems found in the experiment.In this paper, it proved that the BL based on MOOC not only can help improve teachers’ teaching ability, but also stimulate students’ interest in learning and improve the self-learning ability through theoretical analysis and empirical research. It is feasible and effective in the elective courses of universities. Meanwhile, the study as well provided a reference case for the reform of college elective courses. Therefore, the study has a long-lasting and deep research value. |
